David N. Lyon Lecture 2026

The annual David N. Lyon Lecture on The Politics of Sex and Gender Identities in Diverse Societies will take place on Thursday 4 June, during Pride Month and ahead of Oxford Pride weekend.

This year we welcome a panel of senior business leaders chaired by Stonewall CEO, Simon Blake OBE to discuss: ‘The Future of DEI: Recalibration not Retreat’. Joining Simon are:

Dame Julia Hoggett DBE, CEO, London Stock Exchange plc

Pedro Pina, Vice President EMEA, YouTube

Priscilla Mensah, disability advocate and public policy professional.

Together, they will discuss how today’s global turbulence reminds us that hard-won rights can be rolled back, and why urgent, sustained action is needed to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion, resist regression, and maintain the commitment to progress.

The discussion will take place in the Senior Library at 5.45pm – 6.45pm and will be followed by a drinks reception.  The event is free to attend and guests are warmly welcome. Please book your tickets using the form below.
