The Oriel Environmental Group’s Michaelmas talk, will be given by Peter Gish (1986) on Thursday, 7 November 2024.
Peter Gish is founder & Co-CEO of Ortus Climate Mitigation, and will be speaking on “Morocco as a Gateway for Green Hydrogen to Europe: Technical, Economic and Regulatory Challenges“.
Peter has extensive experience in the acquisition, design, development, financing, and operation of wind, solar and storage projects in North America, North Africa and Europe and has published several articles on renewable energy project financing. He has given testimony before the U.S. House Judicial Committee, Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law, and has assisted in the development of state legislation in support of renewable energy. He is a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars and served on the Steering Committee of the National Wind Coordinating Committee. Peter was lecturer in finance and public policy at the University of Massachusetts, Graduate School of Management, speaker at COP22 and has spoken before the United Nations Energy Commission.
The talk will be held in the Harris Lecture Theatre from 5.15pm, afterwards there will be drinks in the Harris Seminar Room with the chance to talk further to our speaker.
