The Provost, Lord Mendoza CBE recently made a special visit to Edinburgh, where it was wonderful to connect with so many Scottish Orielenses and their guests.
On Tuesday, 28 February the Provost and our Deputy Director of Development James Fletcher made a trip up to Edinburgh to meet with Orielenses based all over Scotland. Their trip began with a tour of the Scottish Parliament with MSP for the Highlands and Islands Donald Cameron (1996).
In the evening a group of 22 Orielenses and their guests met at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society for a special dinner overlooking the city to the Firth of Forth and Fife. The Provost updated the group on life at Oriel, and the launch of the final phase of our 700th anniversary fundraising campaign – People and Place. William Carnegie (1957) also thanked the Provost for organising the event on behalf of all attendees.
