Record-Breaking Year for Alumni Giving

The past year has been a record-breaking one for Oriel, with more individual donors than ever generously supporting the College. Over the course of the year, the College received gifts from 979 people – more than 16% of our alumni community.
Our supporters have made possible several new projects, including a fully funded scholarship to support a Ukrainian refugee student and a new graduate scholarship for a student from sub-Saharan Africa. Alumni and friends also continue to support students (currently facing unprecedented financial pressure), maintain Oriel’s expert tutors and teaching, and much more. Through the generosity of donors, the College is also able to reward academic excellence through a variety of prizes and competitions.
More supporters than ever are choosing not to restrict their donations to one area, and instead give to Oriel as a whole. These donations are more important now than ever; as the world faces increasing uncertainty, our supporters can help to ensure that our educational mission continues uninterrupted, and that Oriel is ready to seize emerging opportunities for supporting excellence within the community and around the world.
