Robin has 28 years of experience in the commercial IT sector and then a further 12 years doing Internet-related technical advocacy. Most of his roles have been European or global in scope, and they have varied from IT technical support, through technical pre-sales, to consulting, and high-level government advocacy (engaging with the UK Parliament, European Commission, African Union and other policy fora). Robin has also mentored Masters students and PhD candidates on their industry outreach projects. Robin is happy to advise on soft skills, advocacy/consulting, or more technical topics such as encryption, quantum computing and digital ethics.
