Professor Suzanne Rab Appointed to UK Regulators Network Expert Panel

The UKRN is a membership organisation that brings together regulators from the UK’s utility, financial and transport sectors for the benefit of consumers and the economy. The UKRN’s Expert Panel is made up of independent advisors with specific areas of expertise. The Panel advises the CEOs groups and also provides feedback and challenge to the project teams.  

Professor Rab is a barrister at Serle Court Chambers. She has two decades of experience of regulation, EU and competition law matters combining trade, cartel regulation, commercial practices, IP exploitation, merger control, public procurement and subsidy control. Her practice has a particular focus on the interface between competition law and economic regulation. She advises governments, regulators and businesses across the regulated sectors including in the communications, energy, financial services, healthcare/ pharmaceuticals, TMT and water sectors.

Professor Rab studied the MA in Jurisprudence at Oriel, followed by a BCL in Competition Law, Conflict of Laws, Evidence, and Intellectual Property Law. She qualified as a solicitor in 1997, and was called to the Bar in 2013. She re-joined Oriel in Michaelmas term 2020 as a College Lecturer in Law.
