Over the last two weeks, our team of 13 student callers have spoken with over 380 Orielenses, sharing anecdotes and College news, and even gaining some career advice along the way. The students thoroughly enjoyed their interesting and inspiring conversations with alumni.
Hani (2nd Year, Law) reflects on her experience as a student caller:
“It was so exciting to speak to others who can relate to Oriel life. The whole team has really appreciated how incredibly generous Orielenses have been with their time, experience, and, of course, financial support. It’s quite inspiring to hear about life after Oriel and unexpected career twists and turns. My friend, Freya, had a delightful conversation with one alumnus who felt he had been ‘taken back 60 years’ during their phone call. It’s such a pleasure for both student and Orielensis to compare Oriel life over the years, as College creates such a strong connection.”

We are all living under financial pressures, our students included. The marvellous generosity shown by Orielenses in this telephone campaign means that Oriel can continue to support students in financial need. Removing the burden of financial worry allows them to thrive here.
