700th Anniversary Weekend: Oriel Alumni Ball

Access to the Ball will be via the Porter’s Lodge in Oriel Square, OX1 4EW. Please follow the signs and join the queue in Oriel Square anytime from 17:30.

Gates will open at 18:00 with last entry at 20:00. Please have your ticket QR code to hand on arrival, either printed or digital.

Dress Code: Dress to impress! (Black tie optional)

 A digital copy of the full ball programme will be made available on the website. You will also receive your own copy on arrival.

Arrival and Registration

• ​Please have your ID and ticket QR code ready (either printed or digital). If you are arriving separately to others in your party, please share the group QR code with them and and we’ll be able to check you in separately.

• If you cannot find your ticket, please get in touch on events@oriel.ox.ac.uk and we can re-share it with you.

• Once your ticket has been scanned you’ll receive your wristband and a programme. Your wristband must be worn for the duration of the evening.
• The check-in desk will close at 20:00. If for any reason you plan to arrive later than this, please let us know your estimated time of arrival on events@oriel.ox.ac.uk so we can ensure that security are made aware.

• Re-entry to the Ball won’t be permitted upon exiting.

Coat check 

There will be a coat check available for the duration of the event, located in First Quad.

Security  

Please have a form of ID to hand at the ball. This event is strictly 18+  and security will be present. You may be be asked to produce ID in line with Challenge 25. Strictly no alcohol is to be brought onto the premises.

Payments

Please note, this is a cashless event.

Photography  

Photography will be taking place throughout the event, which may then be used in our print/digital communications and/or social media. Please notify the photographers if you would not like to appear in any photos.

Cancellation

If for any reason you are no longer able to attend, do let us know on  events@oriel.ox.ac.uk . Please note we’re no longer able to issue refunds.

Parking and accommodation

We’re unable to offer any accommodation, changing facilities or parking on site and recommend using public transport where possible.
